Clam Chowder

2 to 3 strips bacon, sliced
1/4 c. onion, chopped
1 can clams, minced
3 to 4 potatoes, cubed
1 pkg. (1/4 box) saltine crackers, crushed

Fry the bacon then drain. Add onions. Simmer for 5 to 7 minutes. Add clams with 1/2 of the juice. Add potatoes with 1 cup of water. Cook until tender. Add crushed crackers. Stir.
