Clam Chowder

1 pt. chopped clams (pick over for shells, but do not drain)
5 lg. potatoes
1/2 onion
1 bottle clam juice

Cook potatoes, cut into small pieces, until done with 1/2 onion cut up. Use small amount of water. Add clams and cook for a couple of minutes. Add clam juice and adjust seasonings; salt and pepper. If calories are not problem, add 2 cups light cream (otherwise 2 cups milk). Do not boil. Reheat, watching carefully.
