Oyster Stew

1 pint small Oysters with liquid
1 1/2 Tbsp. flour
1 tsp. or less salt
2 Tbsp. cold water
Dash of Tabasco sauce
2 1/3 cups non-fat milk powder
3 3/4 cups water

Place Oysters with liquid in medium saucepan. Combine flour, salt, Tabasco, and 2 tablespoons cold water; blend to a smooth paste and add to Oysters. Simmer and stir over very low heat about 5 minutes - just until edges of Oysters begin to curl. Combine non-fat milk powder with remaining cold water; heat to scalding, but do not allow to boil. Stir in Oysters. Remove from heat; cover. Let stand 15 minutes to blend flavors. Reheat stew briefly to serving temperature.
