Holiday Oyster Stew 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
Melt 2 tablespoons butter in a heavy saucepan over low heat; add flour, stirring until smooth. Cook 1 minute, stirring constantly. Gradually add milk and half and half; cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture is bubbly. Add Oysters with liquid, 2 tablespoons butter, salt and hot sauce. Reduce heat, and simmer, stirring constantly, 5 to 8 minutes or until edges of Oysters curl.
Yield: about 5 1/2 cups
