Oyster Stew

1 pint raw Oysters, including juice
1-2 tsp. salt
1 stick oleo
1/2 to 1 tsp. black pepper
4 cups sweet milk
1 (12 oz.) can evaporated milk
Onion powder to taste

Melt oleo in large soup boiler. Add Oysters and heat until Oysters begin to curl. Add 1 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon pepper and a couple of dashes of onion powder. Add canned milk and sweet milk. Heat well. DO NOT BOIL. Taste to regulate salt and pepper. Serve with Oyster crackers or Saltines.
