Oyster Stew

1/3 cup margarine or butter
3 cups milk
3/4 cup half and half
Dash of pepper
1 1/2 pint shucked, fresh Oysters, undrained
1 tsp. salt

Heat margarine in 2-quart saucepan until melted. Add Oysters. Cook over low heat, stirring frequently, just until the edges curl. Heat the milk and half-and-half in 3-quart saucepan. Stir in salt, pepper and Oysters.

Yield: 6 servings
