Clam Chowder 4 tb Butter Melt butter in large saucepan. Saute onion until tender but not brown. Add bay leaf; blend in flour. Grdually add milk, stirring constantly. Cook for 5 minutes, until thickened. Remove bay leaf. Stir in clams, potatoes, salt, pepper, and paprika. Heat thoroughly; do NOT boil. Serves 4 |
